Denver-based Apartment Investment and Management Co. recently revealed that Conor Wagner has joined the company as vice president. Aimco is a real estate investment trust focused on the ownership and management of quality apartment communities located in select markets in the United States. Aimco is one of the country’s largest owners and operators of apartments, with ownership interests in 180 communities in 22 states and the District of Columbia.
Wagner will report to SVP, Lynn Stanfield. He will have day-to-day finance responsibilities supporting portfolio strategy and transactional underwriting.
“Conor is a well-regarded analyst in the REIT community,” says Terry Considine, Aimco chairman and CEO. “We are excited that Conor, his wife, and three small children are moving to Colorado to join the Aimco family.”
Considine adds that “I look forward to having Conor as a teammate, and to the expertise he will bring to our finance and portfolio strategy efforts given his experience as both a buy-side and sell-side analyst.”
Before joining Aimco, Wagner was an analyst on Green Street Advisors’ residential research team, where he co-led coverage of the apartment and single-family rental sectors. Prior to joining Green Street in 2014, he worked on the buy side as a long-short equity analyst. Wagner received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University’s Cox School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
In other recent Aimco news, the company recently entered into a transaction to acquire six apartment communities in the Philadelphia MSA for a purchase price of $445 million. The portfolio included 1,006 existing apartment homes, 110 apartment homes under construction, and 185,000 square feet of office and retail space.
