Los Angeles-based Kilroy Realty Corp. recently revealed that Delmar Nehrenberg, a leading Los Angeles real estate lawyer and deal maker, will become head of the company’s Los Angeles region, succeeding David Simon. Simon will be leaving the company as a full-time employee as of July 1, 2018 and will continue to work with the company as a consultant on select projects.
Prior to joining Kilroy Realty, Nehrenberg was a partner with Allen Matkins where he provided legal and business counsel on commercial and residential development, construction, disposition, acquisition and leasing projects. He has been the lead attorney on more than $10 billion of major development projects, including many of Kilroy Realty’s projects since its IPO in 1997.
“David has been a valuable part of our business for the past six and a half years, particularly with regard to Columbia Square, our 700,000 square-foot mixed-use project in Hollywood,” said John Kilroy, Chairman and CEO of Kilroy Realty. “We look forward to his continued support as a consultant on several ongoing projects. At March 31, 2018, the company’s stabilized portfolio totaled approximately 13.9 million square feet of office space located in the coastal regions of Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area and Greater Seattle and 200 residential units located in the Hollywood submarket of Los Angeles. In addition, KRC had five projects totaling approximately 2.1 million square feet of office and PDR space, 237 residential units and 120,000 square feet of retail space under construction.
